Foundation Donation Terms of Service
Why does Change.org ask for a donation after signing a petition?
After you sign a petition, Change.org offers you the chance to make a donation to help promote it. The donation is made to the Change.org Charitable Foundation, a 501c3 based in the USA. For every donation made to the Change.org Charitable Foundation, the Change.org PBC (a public-benefit corporation incorporated in Delaware, USA, that is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Change.org Charitable Foundation) will match the donation by showing the petition to users on its platform, email channels, and other channels.
Your donation helps increase the visibility of the petition, making it more likely that others will see it and add their signatures. The larger your contribution, the greater the potential reach.
All donations made to the Change.org Charitable Foundation on the Change.org platform are subject to the Change.org platform terms of service, which can be found here
