If you've signed a petition on Change.org and want to reach out to the person who started it, you have a few options to connect with them or get updates on their campaign's progress.

Leave a comment on the petition

The best way to contact a Change.org petition starter is by leaving a comment directly on their petition. This allows you to show your support, ask questions, or share your thoughts about the campaign.

You can comment on a petition after signing it by following the options there, or by clicking “Take the next step” on a petition you’ve already signed. You will see options to donate, share the petition or to skip these choices, after which you will see an option to leave a comment.

Everyone who visits the petition, including the petition starter, will be able to see your comment and may respond to you directly. All comments must follow Change.org's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.

Look for contact information in the petition

Some petition starters include their contact information in the petition description or in updates they've posted or in their profile (the page that appears when you click the petition starters name). Check the full petition text and any updates for:

● Social media profiles

● Website links

● Organization contact information

If the petition starter has shared this information publicly on their Change.org petition, you can use it to reach out to them directly.

Check for petition updates

To find out what's happening with a petition you signed, look for updates posted by the petition starter. Change.org petition starters can post updates to keep supporters informed about campaign progress, victories, or next steps.

Updates appear on the petition page below the main description. You'll also receive update notifications via email (unless you've opted out of petition update emails).

Change.org cannot provide contact information

For privacy and security reasons, Change.org does not give out the contact information of petition starters. If a petition starter hasn't included their contact details in the petition or updates, the commenting feature is your best option to reach them.
